This summer I had the chance to work on the "look" and collateral materials for the opening of a new theater and dance center. I proposed a new color palette. The first piece is this awesome letterpressed invitation, printed by the awesome folks at Studio on Fire. The invitation highlights the complexity, art, and patterns in the building itself. I will be posting about process soon!

Everyone's approach is different, with timelines ranging from a few weeks to an entire year. All with the same outcome, to create something amazing.

Today I received the long, anticipated book that I put together back in April. This book is a compilation of personal readings from students, faculty, staff and friends of the school I work at. This was the largest multi-page document I've ever done with over 400 pages! The cover is a close up of the stained glass windows located in the church where these readings take place. The project was long and exhausting, but the final product came out fantastic, so I'm really happy.
Sometimes we don't get the most exciting projects (to each their own), or products to sell, but there are always ways to make it work. I love this scene from Mad Men, where Don Draper uses emotion to take a product and turn it into an bag full of memories!
